How do I add or remove payment methods?

Managing your payment methods is an essential part of maintaining your RentAFriend.com subscription. Here's how you can add or remove your payment details:

Adding a New Payment Method

As of now, RentAFriend.com doesn't allow you to add a new payment method directly through your dashboard while you have an active subscription. To update your payment information, you'll need to follow the below steps:

  1. Cancel Existing Subscription: Go to your dashboard and find the 'Subscription' link. Click on it and proceed to cancel your current subscription.
  2. Wait for Expiration: Once you've canceled your subscription, you'll have to wait for it to expire naturally.
  3. Re-subscribe: After your subscription has expired and you try to log in again, you'll be prompted to enter new payment details. At this stage, you can add your new payment method.

Removing an Existing Payment Method

Similar to adding a new payment method, removing an existing one also involves canceling your active subscription first. Here are the steps:

  1. Cancel Existing Subscription: Navigate to your dashboard and click on the 'Subscription' link. From there, cancel your current subscription.
  2. Expiration: Wait for your subscription to expire.
  3. No Re-subscription: If you don't wish to add a new payment method and prefer to not renew your subscription, simply do not resubscribe.

Important Notes:

  • If you wish to continue your subscription with the new payment method, ensure that you re-subscribe before your account loses its active status.
  • For security reasons, RentAFriend does not store any of your financial information.
  • We use Paypal and Stripe for all payment management.
