What's the policy for late cancellations?

While RentAFriend.com connects Members and Friends for social companionship, we do not oversee or manage financial transactions, including those related to late cancellations. The terms surrounding late cancellations, such as whether a fee is incurred, should be mutually agreed upon by the Member and the Friend involved.

How to Address Late Cancellations

  1. Early Discussions: Before finalizing any plans, both the Member and the Friend should establish and agree upon a cancellation policy, specifying what constitutes a "late" cancellation and whether a fee will apply.
  2. Written Confirmation: Make sure to document the agreed-upon cancellation terms in writing, either through the RentAFriend messaging platform or another channel that both parties find acceptable. This written agreement serves as a record in case of disputes or misunderstandings.
  3. Financial Arrangements: Since RentAFriend does not handle financial transactions or escrow services, it is up to the Member and Friend to manage any potential cancellation fees independently.

By openly discussing and documenting your terms, both Members and Friends can minimize misunderstandings and handle late cancellations in a manner that is fair to both parties. If you have further questions about handling cancellations or any other aspect of the service, please reach out to our customer support team for assistance.
