RentAFriend prioritizes the safety and comfort of its users, and blocking is a useful tool to manage your interactions on the platform. Whether you're a Friend or a Member, here's a step-by-step guide on how to block another user:

For Both Friend and Member Accounts:

  1. Engage in Messaging:
    • Before blocking a user, ensure that you have engaged with them in the messaging system. This helps confirm your decision to block that specific user.

      Access the Conversation:

    • Go to the messaging console where your conversation with the user is located. This is typically where your interactions with that user have taken place.

      Locate the 'Block User' Option:

    • Within the chat interface, find the 'Block User' option. This is often represented as a small icon or text link designed for easy access.

      Confirm the Block:

    • Click on the 'Block User' option and confirm your decision. Once blocked, the user will no longer be able to send you messages, and you won't be able to send messages to them either.

Quick Messaging:

  • For users utilizing the Quick Messaging feature, this function helps prevent users from sending multiple messages without a response, minimizing the chances of spam or unwanted contact.

Managing Blocks:

  • From your dashboard, navigate to the blocked users section in the left-hand menu. Here, you can view the list of users you have blocked and choose to unblock them if needed.
